Here we are in the first week of December. There is so much decorating and fun to do. So why not have fun decorating with your own creations. If you have children, it’s such a great blessing to create memories with them. So here is another great idea you can enjoy with the whole family.
Whether you are young or old we all enjoy snow globes. It’s even more special if you can design your own flair into it. You can add pics or small figurines to them. You can use any size jar and be as elaborate as you wish. You don't even need to buy much of anything, you can use whatever you have at home. So be creative by thinking outside the box.
Jar (mason, baby food or even an empty condiment jar.)
Figurines (whatever you want as long as it fits the jar.)
Glycerin (it helps the glitter float better, but you don’t have to use it.)
You can use the jar upside down or right side up, it’s up to you. If upside down, glue the objects to the lid of the jar. If not, then glue them to the bottom of the jar. Fill the jar with water, add 1-2 teaspoons of glycerin. Add as much glitter as you like. Fill with water, add lid and shake.
TIP: You can also glue the lid on if you are concerned that it may be opened. You can even decorate the lid with pretty ribbon. I have also seen people add a drop or two of food coloring to tint the water. Just don’t make it too dark.
What would you use to create your snow globe?
