Thanksgiving is often a time we use to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for. We are so busy in our lives trying to take care of our families that we often forget about those who struggle through this time of year. Those who have worked so hard but never making enough to get by, those who have family but are separated through work or distance, those who are just struggling to survive an illness or the loss of a loved one. Even though we can offer to help it's still a tough time for those in these situations. So just remember that no matter how much or how little you have if you woke up today then you have hope for a brighter future or at least making someone else's a little better with the time you have left. I would like to share a beautiful Thanksgiving Prayer that was written by Mary Fairchild.
Heavenly Father, on Thanksgiving Day
We bow our hearts to You and pray.
We give You thanks for all You’ve done
Especially for the gift of Jesus, Your Son.
For beauty in nature, Your glory we see
For joy and health, friends and family,
For daily provision, Your mercy and care
These are the blessings You graciously share.
So today we offer this response of praise
With a promise to follow You all of our days.
