Migraine Reliever Balm

August 14, 2017

Interested in a simple balm that will help reduce migraines? Here is an effective recipe that I have used and was sent in by a guest, Melinda S.

You will need a few small containers with lids and set to the side.

Mix 3 t shea butter, 3 t beeswax and 3 t coconut oil. Microwave the oils until completely melted, approx. 45 sec. – 1 min. Allow the mixture to cool until the bowl is no longer hot to the touch and add the essential oils.

20 d. Peppermint e.o,. a natural pain killer and reduces inflammation and headaches caused by tension or spasms.

15 d. Lavender e.o., promotes relaxation.

*5 d. Eucalyptus e.o., reduces congestion and pain and swelling caused by sinuses. (optional)

Pour the mixture into containers, allow to cool. Refrigerating a few minutes will help harden the mixture.

Simply rub a tiny amount into the temples, forehead or back of the neck to soothe your headache.

I tried this balm but left the Eucalyptus e.o. out and it was very effective.

Thank you Melinda S. for your contribution to our blog.
