Miracle of Ice
The Power of Prayer
I really appreciate a good testimony when someone in need asks for God’s help and is answered. Sometimes the testimonies are so phenomenal it appears it could be a miracle. Other times the testimony seems small but is truly significant in someone’s life that it again can seem like a miracle. I could listen to these testimonies all day long because it proves to me that in God’s eyes there is no prayer too small or too great for God to handle. Here is a story that was sent to me this week and I feel the need to share. It comes from Alex Loya and he says it best in his own words. With his permission, I am posting his story as written in his own words. -Daurice Cummings-Bealer

Miracle of Ice
Dear family and friends, I just wanted to share with you a really beautiful miracle that occurred in answer to prayer, every time I look at the ice machine and see it full of ice I feel this internal joy at the reality of the Lord! You see, it has been really, really hot here, stifling hot, and there seems to be no respite from the heat, for our dorm does not have air conditioning, consequently, when we are outside we are hot and sweating like piglets, and when we come inside its even hotter and more stifling, and we are sweating like piglets. There is one ice machine in the dorm, for 200 men, and every time its hot, the little vestibule in which the ice machine is its even hotter than the rest of the building, so whenever we went to get ice, all we had was like ten ice cubes, because the ice I guess melts. They tried rationing the ice, but it didn't work so we would come in thirsty wanting some ice cold drink, but there was no ice. So I started to pray that the Lord would give me ice, and suddenly every time, just about every single time I went to get ice, the ice would drop as soon as I got there so I would get ice. I told this to one of my friends giving the glory to God, and he told me, "Maybe you should pray for ice for all of us" so I did... next thing you know, the machine was full of ice! and it has been consistently full of ice to this day when it was stifling hot! Father Barkemeyer, so far you know the story, but there is more. The miracle is bigger than I thought! I was telling a friend about it at the chow hall, who lives in another building with no air conditioning, and when I told him, he says, "Hey, we've been having our ice machine full of ice too!" Glory to God! All I can say is Glory to God! And so every time I go to get ice and see the machine full of ice despite the fact that it is stifling hot when it was always empty, I feel this internal joy at the reality of our great and awesome God! Praise the Lord Jesus Christ, from Whom all blessings flow!
